Sustainability
A test that keeps every good bag.
The most sustainable bag is the one you do not have to throw away. Our technology is designed to reduce waste and energy use at the point where integrity is tested.

Where the savings come from
Less waste is built into the method.
Sustainability at ASTRACEC starts with how the test works, not with offsets.
No product destroyed
Testing is non-destructive and non-invasive. Bags that pass go on to release, so no solution, film or packaging is lost to sampling.
No vacuum pump
The method does not need a vacuum. That means lower energy consumption and lower operating cost per test.
Electrical supply only
The machines need only an electrical connection: no compressed gases or tracer gases to produce, transport or vent.

Supply chain
Built close to its suppliers.
Our machines are designed and assembled near Bologna with qualified partners from the same region. A short supply chain means less transport for parts and faster spare-part delivery over the machine’s life.
- Regional partners for precision parts and assembly
- Long machine life supported by preventive maintenance
- Upgrades and spare parts instead of replacement
What we will measure and report
Figures, not promises.
We will publish measured data rather than estimates. These are the indicators we are preparing, with the method used to measure each.
| Indicator | How it is measured | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Energy per test cycle | Measured on POLAR and VEGA under standard conditions | To be published |
| Product saved compared with destructive sampling | Calculated per batch from your sampling plan | To be published |
| Share of components from regional suppliers | By purchase value, per machine | To be published |
We do not quote savings until they are measured. Ask us for a calculation based on your own sampling plan and production volume.
Calculate what your line could save.
Share your sampling plan and volumes. We will show you how many bags non-destructive testing keeps in production.
