Privacy notice
How we use the personal data you send us through this website, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Draft for review: this text must be checked by ASTRACEC’s legal counsel before launch.
Who is responsible
The data controller is ASTRACEC SRL Unipersonale, Via Libia 20/5, 40138 Bologna, Italy. Email: sales@astracec.com. Data protection contact: to be confirmed.
What we collect
When you use the feasibility study or contact forms, we collect the details you enter: name, company, role, work email, country, phone number if given, information about your bags and production line, and your message. The website itself sets no cookies; see the cookie policy.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your request and prepare a feasibility study or offer: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep a record of our business correspondence and improve our service: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To send you news or event invitations: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Who receives it
Our employees who handle your request, and IT service providers who host our website and email under data processing agreements. Requests from India are shared with our partner SVAN, Mumbai, so they can support you locally.
Transfers outside the European Union
Sharing a request with SVAN in India is a transfer outside the EU. It is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (to be confirmed).
How long we keep it
Retention periods to be confirmed: for example, enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted after a set period, and contract records are kept as Italian law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, and for rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to sales@astracec.com.
You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
